Privacy policy

Effective April 24, 2026

This policy explains how Wisepunk LLC (“Wisepunk,” “we,” “us”), the operator of Wowere (the “Service”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use wowere.com and related products. Wowere is a B2B prospecting tool for finding professional contacts and composing outbound email.

1. Who we are

Wisepunk LLC
30 N Gould St, Ste N
Sheridan, WY 82801
USA
Contact: privacy@wowere.com

2. Information we collect

Account data. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and authentication identifiers from our sign-in provider (Clerk). If you subscribe, we collect billing details through Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Usage data. We log the searches you run, the leads you save, the lists and campaigns you create, and the API calls you make. We record the cost of each external API call we make on your behalf so you can see it in your admin dashboard.

Contact data about third parties. To return search results, Wowere retrieves publicly available professional information (name, job title, company, public LinkedIn profile, work history, and professional email addresses) from third-party data providers. This information is about people other than you — the recipients of your outreach.

Email sending scopes. If you connect a Gmail or Outlook account, we request “send-only” permissions (gmail.send on Google; the equivalent send-only scope on Microsoft Graph). We never request, receive, or have the ability to read your mailbox, threads, labels, or reply history. This is a permanent product decision, not a configuration.

Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use disclosure).Wowere’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use the gmail.sendscope solely to send email on the user’s behalf when the user explicitly initiates a send from our application. We do not read, store, transfer, or use Gmail data for any other purpose, including advertising, training machine-learning or generative-AI models, or sale to third parties. Gmail data is not accessed by humans except (a) with the user’s explicit consent for a specific support request, (b) where necessary for security investigations or to comply with applicable law, or (c) where the data has been aggregated and anonymized so it cannot be linked to an individual user.

3. How we use information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To return search results, enrich contacts, and send outbound email on your behalf.
  • To bill you and enforce plan quotas.
  • To detect abuse, prevent fraud, and secure the Service.
  • To communicate with you about account activity and product updates you have opted in to.

4. How we share information

We share the minimum information required to operate the Service with vendors acting as our processors, including our hosting provider, database provider, authentication provider, payment processor, email enrichment and deliverability providers, and transactional email provider. Each vendor is bound by contract to use the information only to provide services to us.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Wisepunk, our users, or the public.

5. Third-party contact information

Wowere returns professional contact information about individuals who are not our users. You are responsible for complying with applicable laws when using this information, including laws governing commercial email (such as the CAN-SPAM Act in the United States and the GDPR / ePrivacy rules in the European Union). You must honor opt-out and erasure requests you receive.

If you are a data subject and believe Wowere holds professional contact information about you, you may email privacy@wowere.com to request review, correction, or deletion. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

6. Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Enriched contact data is retained for a limited period so repeat lookups are served quickly and we do not re-query third-party providers unnecessarily; these records expire on a rolling schedule. You can delete your account at any time by emailing us, and we will delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it (for example, billing records).

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including TLS in transit, encrypted storage, scoped API keys per environment, and audit logging on every pipeline run. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.

8. International users

Wowere is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States for processing.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@wowere.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10. Children

Wowere is a B2B product and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or in the product. The “Effective” date at the top of the page reflects the current version.
